  1. Not being able to log in – this can often happen when a user returns to the office and has forgotten their password, or they have just not noticed that Caps Lock is on! However, it can also be something more serious, where the account has been locked out by a manager or HR personnel.
  2. Losing important files – this can cause a great deal of panic with the user, especially if they think the files have not been backed up. Hopefully the files can be retrieved from their recycle bin, however, if they have recently emptied this or used shift-delete then unless the company operates another regular back-up process they may be lost forever.
  3. The printer won’t print – issues here can range from the printer is not actually on as they didn’t realise they were the first person in the office to use the printer that day, to documents being sent
    to the wrong paper tray – or even wrong printer.
  4. The PC closed itself down for no reason – this could be as simple as something like the computer has not been maintained and cleaned and has overheated.
  5. My PC is very slow today – it’s always a good idea to check how many windows the user has open, this may be causing them some problems! However, they may have picked up a virus so this does
