For the last two months many employees of call centres, offices and businesses, have been equipped with a headset and laptop and have been working from their kitchen table or spare bedroom. Remote meetings have been held via Teams and Zoom and MSPs and IT teams have had to step up their VPNs to support safe remote working accross organisations over the whole country. This means that a large proportion of the workforce has now adapted from commuting to work, team meetings in the office and after work drinks to starting work early at home, remote video meetings, and drinks in the garden (if they are lucky enough to have one) all whilst in lockdown.

Now we are coming out of lockdown, staff will be asked to return to the office, but it won’t be under normal conditions. There is no vaccine for Covid 19 on the horizon and businesses will have to ensure that staff can return to work whilst remaining under safe conditions and being able to socially distance themselves.

For many MSPs and IT Teams, this huge remote working project is soon to be turned on it’s head and it will become a return to the workplace exercise and getting it totally and seamlessly right won’t be easy, so over the next few days we will be posting tips on how to make this huge transition a little smoother for your business.
